SRHR

Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights

LADA works to improve access of the SRHR services for marginalized and vulnerable women and girls in rural and semi-urban areas in Kenya. We have been abled to set up 15 Reproductive health drop in centers across the country in underserved communities that women and adolescents girls can visit to access reliable information on family planning, birth controls methods and sexuality education. In addition to providing safe space for women/girls the centers also serve as distribution points for contraceptives and reproductive health services.

Women Economic Empowerment

On Women Economic Empowerment. Our work is based on the belief that economic justice, Social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication are achieved through a collective action that focuses on a multisectoral approach hence LADA is a coalition member of the “National Advocacy Coalition on Women Economic Empowerment in Kenya” whose overarching strategy is to extract evidence from member organizations then translate and package that evidence into clear policy asks and program recommendations and implementation as an intervention to advance women economic rights and justice

Peace and security

LADA promotes interventions and actions that support and advance children and women’s rights, wellbeing and empowerment in fragile and conflict affected areas inline with the Women, Peace and Security agenda. We believe improving and maintaining community peace and security raises economic growth, strengthen family and community resilience and enhance financial stability

Sexual and gender based violence

Our Sexual and Gender based violence intervention. We have established 10 centers in Kenya to enable women and adolescent girls to access reproductive health and rights information. In addition to providing spaces for women and girls, the centers also serve as shelters for victims of sexual and gender-based violence by ensuring GBV victims and survivors have adequate and timely access to quality services that they need by advancing medical help, psychosocial support, and legal aid. The established centers also facilitate the development of evidence-based data to mobilize key stakeholders and policymakers/legislators to strengthen the reporting, enforcement, and accountability mechanisms related to GBV and offer meaningful solutions to reducing GBV in communities
